What you will do
- Own the LNG Cargo Tracking dataset, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, completeness, and provenance of vessel, cargo movement, and fleet data.
- Investigate data discrepancies, close coverage gaps, evaluate alternative data sources, and establish scalable data quality standards.
- Develop and maintain shipping models covering vessel movements, fleet utilization, and volume calibration.
- Lead sections of short-term LNG shipping reports, including data production, quality assurance, market commentary, ship-tracking highlights, and vessel movements.
- Contribute to short- and medium-term LNG shipping forecasts and collaborate with LNG and gas research teams.
- Support ship-tracking and short-term shipping product development, including AI and automation initiatives and client data queries.
Requirements
- Professional experience in LNG shipping, maritime analytics, or related energy market research.
- Strong knowledge of global LNG shipping, including fleet dynamics, trade flows, vessel types, cargo economics, and key market participants.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and applying rigorous data quality processes.
- Practical coding skills in Python, SQL, or equivalent technical tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools used for shipping or energy market analysis.
- Fluent spoken and written English required.

- Demonstrated professional use of AI or automation tools to improve analytical or data workflows.
- Experience identifying and executing automation opportunities for repetitive data and reporting tasks.
