TL;DR
Folder Operator (Digital Printing/Production): Folding digitally printed output according to job specifications, performing quality checks, setting up and adjusting machines, and completing production documentation with an accent on accuracy, security procedures, and production workflow control. Focus on operating folding equipment, maintaining sequence and balance of jobs, resolving quality issues, and meeting overnight production requirements.
Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite overnight shift, Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Salary: CAD 19–21 per hour plus applicable shift premium

What you will do
- Retrieve orders according to production schedules and fold printed output to job specifications.
- Perform quality control checks for accuracy, sequence, balance, blanks, and headers.
- Set up machines, make minor adjustments, clean equipment, and place service calls when needed.
- Complete colour-coded tags, worksheets, job scans, service records, and production totals.
- Escalate quality or production issues to the lead and notify Traffic when jobs are complete.
- Follow health, safety, environmental, security, housekeeping, and production procedures.
Requirements
- Experience operating MBO or BAUM folders is an asset.
- Experience in a digital print environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, multitask, perform basic mathematical calculations, and use computers.
- High school diploma or some post-secondary education is preferred.
- Must possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit.
