IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Linux/Red Hat)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and improve infrastructure automation and standardized operational processes.
• Administer, maintain, patch, harden, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat Satellite.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions, particularly CommVault, and operate infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
• Perform on-site datacenter activities, including hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, and physical infrastructure support.
• Operate and improve server, storage, and infrastructure services while analyzing alerts, performance data, and system health.
• Resolve incidents and contribute to problem management, change management, documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and application teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with hands-on Red Hat Satellite experience.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, enterprise backup solutions, monitoring, alerting, and enterprise datacenter operations.
• Willingness and ability to perform regular on-site datacenter work with physical infrastructure.
• Understanding of high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery concepts, plus strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Structured, independent, reliable, service-oriented, and collaborative working style with strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization, server, and storage technologies.
• Knowledge of networking and IT security concepts.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Ansible scripting and automation.
