Senior Azure Network Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote within Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration and anchor days at offices in Berlin or Cologne.

What you will do

• Design highly available Azure networking solutions connecting Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.
• Build observability solutions with KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, Azure Monitor, and Azure Connection Monitor.
• Modernize network security through Azure Firewall Premium, network security groups, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust approaches.
• Establish infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code and Infrastructure as Prompt, including AI-assisted operational concepts.
• Develop Azure governance guardrails, decentralized network management concepts, disaster recovery strategies, and automated failover testing.
• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub-and-Spoke architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.
• Experience designing secure, scalable connectivity across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Interest in Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.
• Ability to simplify complex networking topics, share knowledge, and provide architectural recommendations.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Platform networking experience.
• Sophos Firewall experience.
• Enterprise on-premises networking experience.
• Experience with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Kubernetes.
