Contract Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote in the UK or EU, with GMT timezone alignment

What you will do

• Own cloud access and identity management across the client cloud estate.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, primarily with Terraform.
• Manage shared infrastructure used by multiple engineering teams.
• Apply careful change management and governance to high-blast-radius systems.
• Build and operate tooling alongside the existing cloud platform.
• Unblock other teams by providing reliable, well-governed platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on AWS experience, especially IAM, IAM Identity Center/SSO, and AWS Organizations.
• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Experience running shared, high-blast-radius infrastructure.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including OIDC federation to cloud providers.
• Familiarity with Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar observability tooling.
• Some Python or JavaScript scripting experience, with a focus on testing and reliability.

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud experience.
• Experience using AI tools to improve engineering impact with sound technical judgment.
