International Payroll Analyst

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $105,400–$147,500 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position offered.

What you will do

• Manage, audit, and execute payroll delivery across more than 15 international countries, including inputs, approvals, funding, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.
• Own international payroll calendars, operating cadences, dependencies, cutoffs, exceptions, and regional processing schedules.
• Oversee international equity compensation payroll for RSUs and stock options, including tax, benefits, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead payroll technology initiatives using Workday to automate workflows, optimize configurations, create reports, and support global payroll implementations.
• Manage payroll vendors and partner with People, Benefits, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Equity, and Internal Audit teams.
• Establish global payroll policies, SOX controls, standard operating procedures, and audit-ready documentation while supporting M&A integrations and new-country launches.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global footprint.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Workday Payroll, including reporting, configuration, and integrations, plus global payroll software platforms.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, reconciliation, and audit modeling.
• Strong understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, discretion, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audits.
• Experience applying automation or AI tools to payroll operations, analytics, controls, case management, or knowledge documentation.
• Experience supporting international expansion or payroll transformation in a publicly traded, technology, or high-growth company.
