Field Service Engineers North East (Recycling)

Location: Tyne View, Lemington, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK; field-based work across the North East with travel to customer sites

Salary: GBP 35,000–GBP 40,000 yearly

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair reverse vending machines at customer sites.
• Support the rollout of new recycling equipment across the UK.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform preventative and reactive repairs.
• Build effective relationships with customers and site contacts while providing professional technical support.
• Travel throughout the North East region, including occasional overnight stays, and record service activities in digital systems.
• Share field feedback, develop technical expertise, and follow safety procedures including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards.

Requirements

• Foundation in electromechanical systems and interest in analysing, testing, and repairing complex equipment.
• Solution-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and clear customer communication.
• Confidence using power tools and hand tools independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel and manage a schedule in a field-based role.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Flexibility for approved overtime and weekend work; a rota-based shift pattern with weekend coverage will apply from October 2027.
