Software Developer Engineer in Test III (SDET) (Python & JavaScript)

Location: Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania; candidates must be commutable to One Park Cotroceni and attend 1–2 days per week.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and execute test procedures for platform features in threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
• Build, maintain, and expand scalable test and build automation frameworks.
• Develop user-facing features and interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Build Python-based backend services, APIs, and scripting solutions using REST and GraphQL.
• Test and debug frontend and backend components, including performance and cross-browser behavior.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity research teams to improve product quality and platform maturity.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python.
• Experience with React, REST or GraphQL APIs, relational databases, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with test case management, project planning, issue tracking, observability, and production monitoring tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain flexible, scalable, modular automation frameworks and manage test data, reporting, and configuration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• TypeScript or Django experience.
• Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native development, or other cloud technologies.
• Experience with Celery, AMQP, MQTT, Redis, distributed computing, or enterprise-wide systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, Agile methodologies, and security software development practices.
• Experience influencing engineering best practices and communicating technical designs and product strategy.
