Director Global Process Owner Compensation & Benefits (C&B)

Location: Onsite in Budapest, Hungary; ability to travel 20%.

What you will do

• Own the global strategy, governance, and transformation roadmap for Compensation & Benefits Record-to-Report processes.
• Drive standardization, automation using AI and RPA, best-practice adoption, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
• Partner with HR, operating company finance teams, shared service centers, IT, and finance leadership on payroll harmonization and process centralization.
• Lead process excellence initiatives across Compensation & Benefits, Travel & Expense, and related benefit processes.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly close, balance sheet reporting, reconciliations, compliance activities, and internal and external audit support.
• Lead finance transformation and influence stakeholders across decentralized and matrixed organizations while mentoring associates involved in automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, finance transformation, financial operations leadership, or process improvement within a complex global organization.
• Experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, finance system implementation, and shared services optimization initiatives.
• Expertise in enterprise financial technologies, including ERP, consolidation and reporting, and planning systems, with strong data analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of financial controls, compliance, SOX 404 or similar internal control frameworks, U.S. GAAP, and financial reporting principles.
• Strong collaboration, communication, project leadership, stakeholder influence, and Lean/DBS methodology skills.

Nice to have

• Finance transformation or shared services implementation experience.
• Experience with the hirify.global Business System or similar Lean/Kaizen methodologies.
• Advanced degree or certification such as an MBA, CPA, or CMA.
