Director, Enterprise Process Owner (Finance)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA; international travel up to 25% may be required

What you will do

• Define and standardize end-to-end global Record-to-Report and Order-to-Cash processes, including ownership, handoffs, controls, and allowable local variations.
• Establish governance models, decision rights, escalation paths, process maps, policies, procedures, and work instructions across Global Business Services.
• Build KPI and SLA frameworks, establish performance baselines, and track productivity, quality, cycle time, cost, and benefits realization.
• Partner with IT and Digital teams on ERP, workflow, master data, automation, and system implementation initiatives.
• Lead transition, training, communications, adoption, cutover, hypercare, stabilization, and continuous improvement activities.
• Manage governance with outsourced finance service providers, including deliverables, reporting, controls evidence, SLAs, dependencies, and risk escalation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance operations or end-to-end process ownership experience in a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Deep expertise in Record-to-Report and/or Order-to-Cash, global process standards, process documentation, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Strong knowledge of finance controls, compliance, audit requirements, ERP implementations, and major process enhancements.
• Ability to influence across a matrix organization and drive adoption across regions and business units.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 25% as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing or transforming a Global Business Services or shared-services model.
• Experience selecting, contracting, and governing business process outsourcing providers.
• Large-scale transformation experience involving global standardization, operating model redesign, or ERP-driven process change.
• MBA, MS, CPA, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
