Director of Real Estate, Workplace & Security

Location: Oakland, California, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the workplace and 2 days working from home

Salary: Zone A $179,500–$369,700; Zone B $164,500–$338,900; Zone C $149,600–$308,100 per year, plus eligibility for incentive plans

What you will do

• Develop and execute U.S. real estate strategy while providing strategic guidance to international locations.
• Lead portfolio optimization, site selection, lease administration, space planning, workplace design, and workplace experience programs.
• Oversee design, construction, project management, facilities operations, maintenance, capital projects, and service-provider relationships.
• Lead global physical security, access control, crisis management, executive protection, incident response, and security systems.
• Establish threat monitoring, intelligence, risk assessment, emergency response, and business continuity frameworks.
• Lead a global team and advise executive leadership on security, real estate, facilities, compliance, and operational performance.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading global corporate security, real estate, and facilities operations, with significant emphasis on real estate and corporate security.
• Experience integrating corporate security, real estate, and facilities operations under one organizational structure.
• Strong crisis management and emergency response expertise.
• Excellent communication, influence, strategic planning, and leadership skills across complex multinational organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, security management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in the Oakland hybrid workplace schedule.

• Advanced degree.
• Professional certification such as CPP, CFM, or MCR.
