What you will do

• Lead structural engineering across complex buildings and defence infrastructure projects.
• Provide authoritative advice on design intent, constructability, sequencing, risk, and structural assurance.
• Review and approve structural designs, shop drawings, construction methodologies, inspection and test plans, and temporary works.
• Resolve structural and constructability issues during construction while maintaining programme, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Work with construction teams, contractors, clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to technical standards and assurance frameworks, and support tenders, proposals, and client engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
• RPEQ, RPEV, or equivalent registration, or willingness to obtain it if required.
• Extensive structural engineering experience in regulated environments, particularly complex buildings and/or defence infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards, construction compliance, and assurance processes.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance are required.
