Technical Training Senior Specialist

Location: Irwindale, California, US; hybrid work with required residence and employment in California

Salary: $114,400–$171,600 per year

What you will do

• Deliver technical training across a wide range of solution areas and technologies.
• Develop, design, and maintain high-quality training materials as a technical instructional design lead.
• Plan and facilitate training solutions aligned with department and operating-unit outcomes.
• Assess learner needs, define objectives, document outcomes, and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps in software and systems training resources and develop technical curricula.
• Incorporate feedback into future programs and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience supporting technical training initiatives.
• Experience with instructional design methodologies and learner-centered training development.
• Experience designing and supporting on-the-job-training-heavy curricula.
• Must work and reside in California; the role is hybrid and requires reporting to an SCE facility on set days.
• Ability to protect sensitive customer, company, medical, financial, physical, and cybersecurity information.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, instructional design, or graphic design.
• Instructional design certification.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator; Articulate Storyline; and Microsoft Office.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in a utility company and a portfolio submission.
