Etch SRP New Product Introduction Instructor (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Based in Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA; requires work in manufacturing and development lab environments, customer locations, and travel within the United States and internationally.

Salary: $96,500–$132,500 per year

What you will do

• Deliver specialized NPI technical training in classroom, laboratory, live distance learning, and hands-on formats.
• Learn new semiconductor equipment and maintain technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, software, process, maintenance, and troubleshooting areas.
• Develop curricula, student guides, technical documentation, procedures, and supporting training technologies.
• Coordinate factory on-the-job training, certify instructors and staff, and establish certification requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Business Groups, Technical Publications, and Global Product Support during product development and first chamber builds.
• Lead multiple projects, mentor less senior instructors, support customer training needs, and resolve technical and customer satisfaction issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, plus 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• Without a bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience are required.
• Experience with installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor machinery and related systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, technical training, project management, problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with electrical and mechanical equipment, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters, hand tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to travel for approximately 25–35% of the year, including domestic and international travel; training may occur during off-shift hours and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in education, performance-based training, curriculum development, or instructional design.
• Instructional Design certification, including Friesen, Kaye and Associates certification.
• Experience with hirify.global equipment, especially Applied Etch SRP equipment.
• Experience with e-learning, computer networking, videography, photography, AR, VR, or CGI.
