MDP New Product Introduction Instructor (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California, United States. The role requires work in manufacturing and development lab environments, training at customer locations, and domestic and international travel of up to 35% per year. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Learn new semiconductor products and tools across mechanical, electrical, software, process, maintenance, and troubleshooting domains.
• Develop and deliver classroom, laboratory, live distance learning, and hands-on technical training.
• Create curricula, student guides, procedures, documentation, and supporting training technologies for new product introductions.
• Support product development, first chamber builds, final testing, engineering tools, factory on-the-job training, and certification activities.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support, verify training-system functionality and safety retrofits, and assist with documentation improvements.
• Coach instructors, lead project teams, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, and manage multiple NPI training projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, plus 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• Without a bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience is required.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, technical documentation, and project-management skills.
• Ability to use semiconductor testing and service equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, volt meters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work in Austin or Santa Clara and travel domestically and internationally, including occasional off-shift and weekend training.

Nice to have

• Experience in education, performance-based training, curriculum development, or instructional design.
• Instructional Design certification, including FKA certification.
• Experience with hirify.global or MDP semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with e-learning, networking, videography, photography, AR, VR, or CGI.
