FIFO L2/L3 IT Support / Infrastructure Technician (Mining)

Location: Perth, Australia; FIFO, site-based work in a remote mining environment

Salary: A$60–A$80 per hour

Large resources organisation operating a remote mining environment with on-site IT infrastructure and user support requirements.

What you will do

• Provide Level 2/3 support for desktops, laptops, hardware, software, and user issues.
• Troubleshoot networking, wireless, communications, and connectivity problems.
• Support servers and wider IT infrastructure across the remote site.
• Work with Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and wireless environments.
• Manage incidents through resolution or escalation and support site technology requirements.
• Coordinate complex issues with internal IT teams and external service providers.

Requirements

• Previous FIFO experience is essential.
• Strong Level 2/3 IT support experience in a hands-on environment.
• Knowledge of desktop support, networking, wireless, and infrastructure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote and challenging environment.
• Experience in mining, resources, utilities, or another remote/site-based environment is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Cisco experience.
• Exposure to Dell, Cisco UCS, or Pure Storage enterprise infrastructure.
