Network Operations Tech Lead

Latitude.sh operates a global computing platform for programmatically deployed single-tenant bare-metal infrastructure.

What you will do

• Lead the third-shift network operations team and act as the primary escalation point during overnight operations.
• Provision and deliver bare-metal servers, including hardware validation, firmware updates, RAID configuration, operating system installation, network setup, and IPMI/BMC access.
• Coordinate with data center teams and remote hands on racking, cabling, and component replacement.
• Monitor delivery deadlines, escalate blocked or at-risk orders, and coordinate responses to complex technical issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery, asset, and configuration records.
• Improve runbooks and workflows and contribute to retrospectives and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a network operations environment.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, IP networking, BGP, OSPF, TCP, UDP, SNMP, NTP, SSH, and network troubleshooting tools.
• Strong incident command, prioritization, decision-making, and cross-functional communication skills.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP or higher strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, or other multi-vendor environments.
• Background in ISP, data center, or large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, LibreNMS, or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience working with carriers and transit providers.
• Previous shift lead or team lead experience in a 24x7 NOC.
