What you will do
- Prepare and post monthly payroll journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
- Prepare payroll balance-sheet account reconciliations and submit them in BlackLine.
- Investigate and resolve variances or unreconciled differences, escalating issues that may affect financial reporting or compliance.
- Review significant fluctuations in payroll-related profit-and-loss and balance-sheet accounts.
- Perform SOX controls for the payroll accounting process and collaborate with HR, payroll operations, accounting, and finance stakeholders.
- Support projects focused on efficiency, simplification, automation, and process standardization.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or ICAEW.
- At least 4–5 years of experience in an accounting function.
- Experience in general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of SAP.
- Detail-oriented, independent, self-driven, and able to communicate and work effectively in a team.
