Accountant

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with regular on-site presence at the assigned hirify.global site

hirify.global is a technology company offering a finance role within its Finance organization.

What you will do

• Support the month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries and reviewing financial transactions.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and resolve outstanding balances.
• Assist with variance analysis, financial reporting, and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain accounting procedures, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Support finance system implementations, upgrades, user acceptance testing, validation, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in SAP or an equivalent ERP system; familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical skills for addressing complex financial data issues.
• Knowledge of US GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.

Nice to have

• Membership in or progress toward CPA, ACCA, MICPA, or MIA certification.
• Experience in project management, process improvement, or finance system initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to dynamic environments.
