TL;DR
Dedicated Care Coordinator New Jersey (Patient Access/Reimbursement): Managing the full patient access journey for prescribed specialty pharmaceutical products, from HUB enrollment and benefits verification through prior authorization, fulfillment, and post-fill follow-up, with an accent on reimbursement education, coverage navigation, and compliant patient communication. Focus on owning high-volume cases, coordinating providers, payers, vendors, and HUB partners, and resolving complex access and financial support requirements.

Location: Remote from New Jersey, United States; remote colleagues work from home five days a week. Eastern Time Zone required, with approximately 10–20% travel. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $162,900–$271,500, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

  • Own assigned patient cases from HUB enrollment through post-fill follow-up for prescribed specialty products.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers on reimbursement, coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and access requirements.
  • Conduct benefits investigation and verification, support prior authorizations and appeals, and coordinate baseline assessments.
  • Administer Interim Care, voucher, copay, and prescription triage processes using Polaris and related systems.
  • Coordinate with patients, providers, payers, HUB partners, specialty pharmacies, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation, manage consents and communications, report adverse events, and follow compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of pharmaceutical or related customer-facing experience.
  • At least 6 months of experience in an FRM, PAC, FAS, or similar access and reimbursement role using Polaris.
  • Experience with benefits investigation and verification, prior authorization and appeals processes, copay programs, vouchers, and Interim Care or free-care programs.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent cases with accurate documentation and follow-through.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with patients, providers, payers, vendors, and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with a HUB, specialty pharmacy, patient assessment vendors, or reimbursement education programs.
  • Experience with Kiteworks, DocuSign, copay portals, Interim Care, free-goods, or bridge programs.
  • Experience with both pharmacy benefit and major medical coverage pathways.
