Manufacturing Assembly Technician (Electronics/Cable Assembly)

What you will do

• Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished products using work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering, rework, and micro-soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, and test wires, cables, and harnesses according to schematics and specifications.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and rework assemblies for cold joints, shorts, defects, and dimensional errors.
• Use hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters, calipers, and other test equipment to verify quality and function.
• Complete production documentation, maintain a safe 5S workstation, and meet production and quality targets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and good close-range vision for detailed repetitive work.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, crimpers, measuring instruments, and magnification equipment.
• Ability to stand or sit at a workstation for up to 8 hours, perform repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in electronics assembly, soldering, or cable and harness fabrication.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience with SMT rework, micro-soldering, and ESD-safe handling.
• Experience in electronics, aerospace, medical device, or automotive manufacturing.
