Intern/Co-op - HES&S Environmental

Location: Findlay, Ohio; on-site 40 hours per week. Additional work locations may include Anacortes, Washington; Canonsburg, Pennsylvania; Canton, Ohio; Catlettsburg, Kentucky; Denver, Colorado; Detroit, Michigan; Dickinson, North Dakota; El Paso, Texas; Garyville, Louisiana; Kenai, Alaska; Long Beach, California; Mandan, North Dakota; Robinson, Illinois; Salt Lake City, Utah; San Antonio, Texas; St. Paul Park, Minnesota; Texas City, Texas; and Wilmington, California.

Salary: $24.09–$43.23 per hour.

What you will do

• Interpret and develop environmental policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Provide technical assistance with environmental programs, budgets, monitoring, reports, and recommendations.
• Review environmental equipment and system designs, cost estimates, and engineering specifications.
• Investigate environmental issues, identify causes, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings to management.
• Monitor environmental legislation, regulatory developments, permits, reporting requirements, and standards.
• Develop environmental manuals, training materials, programs, and employee training sessions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Must remain concurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program throughout the internship.
• Strong academic performance and availability for multiple work terms preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting and work-related travel.
• Must be able to work on site, safely climb stairs or ladders, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
