Intern/Co-op - HES&S Environmental (Spring 2027)

Location: On-site in Findlay, Ohio, with additional opportunities at specified U.S. locations; 40 hours per week.

Salary: $24.09–$43.23 per hour

What you will do

• Interpret and help develop environmental policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Provide technical assistance with environmental requirements, budgets, monitoring, and compliance recommendations.
• Design or review environmental equipment and systems, including engineering specifications and cost estimates.
• Investigate environmental issues, identify causes, recommend preventive measures, and communicate findings to management.
• Monitor environmental legislation, regulatory actions, international standards, reporting requirements, and permitting activities.
• Develop environmental manuals, training materials, and employee training sessions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Remain concurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program throughout the internship.
• Strong academic performance and availability for multiple work terms preferred.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week and able to travel to the workplace using reliable transportation.
• Able to safely climb stairs or ladders and lift or carry up to 50 pounds; valid driver's license required for work-related travel.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
