Sr IT Engineering Specialist (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: United States, California, El Segundo; onsite

Salary: $115,260–$149,160 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable technology solutions.
• Design architecture diagrams, data flows, infrastructure, database solutions, and Architecture Design Specifications.
• Develop solutions across Windows Server, Linux, compute, storage, networking, virtualization, databases, cloud, and container platforms.
• Design and support Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Evaluate high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Lead technical assessments, production transitions, operational readiness, troubleshooting, and standardization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with five years of experience or master's degree with three years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, enterprise infrastructure, and Linux administration.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including database architecture, backup and recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, EKS, or NKP, plus virtualization technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, or Hyper-V.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, security architecture, manufacturing systems, and quality systems.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible, alongside strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, Infrastructure as Code, MES, SAP integrations, and enterprise application architectures.
