Senior Actuarial Analyst, Managing General Agent

What you will do

• Support pricing, portfolio monitoring, and profitability assessments for managing general agents across Australia and New Zealand.
• Develop and implement portfolio management and monitoring tools covering top-line metrics and lead indicators.
• Support pricing and rating models, technical raters, advanced analytics, and predictive modelling.
• Conduct profitability studies, segment-level budget loss ratio analysis, and due diligence for new MGA opportunities.
• Collaborate with underwriters, business functions, and MGAs to provide strategic recommendations.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy, sustainable profitable growth, and ad-hoc actuarial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Prior general insurance experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Experience with Python, R, or SQL, as well as databases and data extraction or manipulation, is advantageous.
• Collaborative and professional approach with strong interpersonal skills and high integrity.
