Manager – Studio

Location: Hybrid in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage small to medium studio resources and oversee projects within the Grand Rapids location.
• Develop and maintain operational systems, workflows, reporting tools, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate Creative, Production, Account, and other SGK teams to deliver content within scope, timeline, budget, quality, and KPI requirements.
• Build client relationships, align delivery with business requirements, and support transparent Account Management partnerships.
• Manage vendor and talent relationships, assign artists and production resources, and maintain daily workload targets.
• Mentor, coach, train, and develop employees while monitoring operational performance and departmental expenditure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in photography, management, communication, or a related field.
• 6+ years of agency content production experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, capture integration software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, planning, and communication skills.
• Established network of artists involved in photo and video content production.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; occasional local, national, or international travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or master’s degree.
• Working knowledge of Agile content production.
