Global Trade Operations APJ Program Manager (Import/Export)

What you will do

• Provide regional subject matter expertise on import, export, customs, and trade compliance requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for business units, functions, brokers, and carriers on compliance matters.
• Roll out the Broker Management Program, manage KPIs, and maintain the regional internal control program.
• Support new business models and legal entity setup, market access activities, audits, investigations, and voluntary disclosures.
• Lead complex compliance projects, assessments, training, process improvements, and regulatory change communications.
• Develop regional compliance operations strategy and represent hirify.global in industry forums and with regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of direct experience in import/export and trade compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in international trade or logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of US and APAC import and export regulations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions, regions, and cultures, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, accountability, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTS and ECCN classification and Rules of Origin/Country of Origin determination.
• Knowledge of international customs and export control laws.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as GTS or GTM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
