Fiber R&D Measurement Engineer (M/F) (Optical Fiber)

Location: Douvrin, France; onsite at hirify.global's optical fiber plant

What you will do

• Define, develop, and qualify measurement strategies for new optical fiber products.
• Develop analytical tools and use existing tools to support measurement development.
• Model fiber propagation characteristics and assess their impact on application-specific performance.
• Collaborate with modeling and process experts in a multicultural, multisite environment.
• Provide technical support to Process Control, Operations, Sales, and Quality teams, including customer and standardization topics.
• Contribute to scientific publications, conferences, patents, and technology watch activities.

Requirements

• MSc or engineering degree; a PhD is an advantage.
• First successful experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with computer programming and tools such as COMSOL and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of cross-disciplinary science, statistics, and SQL databases.
• Fluent English required.
