ISSE (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Lorton, Virginia, United States; travel requirements are 0–20%; standard working hours.

Salary: $180,000–$185,000 per year for Virginia.

What you will do

• Integrate cyber resiliency objectives, techniques, and design principles into systems engineering and development across the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and authorization-related materials.
• Perform requirements analysis, design, and integration for complex software applications and collaboration infrastructures.
• Review change requests and assess the security impact of proposed system changes.
• Monitor systems, procedures, and documentation to verify compliance with authorization packages.
• Research, test, train, and implement programs that protect sensitive information from compromise.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or programming.
• 7+ years of technical experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or systems engineering.
• Current active Top Secret/SCI clearance and current or recent DoD SAP access required.
• Experience with Special Access Programs and eligibility for a Counterintelligence polygraph required.
• Strong knowledge of fault tolerance and Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA), with the ability to quantify enterprise risk and compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, C++, Linux, application security scanning, virtualization, containers, infrastructure security scanning, or vulnerability scanning; relevant certifications include CISSP, CCSP, ISSEP, DITSCAP, or DIACAP.
