Technical Project Management – Node Site Infrastructure Management (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: New York, United States; the role requires travel to data centers, node sites, and new builds across North America.

Salary: $160,000–$215,000 annually, plus benefits and bonus.

What you will do

• Manage current and new colocation agreements, contract terms, amendments, vendor requirements, and procurement compliance.
• Plan, coordinate, estimate costs for, and implement new data center sites in third-party colocation facilities across North America.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical power site surveys and maintain accurate facility, capacity, access, invoice, and contract data in internal systems.
• Manage vendor performance, operational procedures, service-level agreements, incidents, ticket reporting, and issue resolution.
• Support site selection, request-for-proposal activities, physical site reviews, and final recommendations with internal stakeholders.
• Support the rollout of data center infrastructure processes and initiatives across the global infrastructure organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in operational data center environments, preferably colocation, including vendor acquisition, contract negotiation, and subcontractor performance management.
• Knowledge of rack and stack operations, structured cabling, troubleshooting, data center power and space management, and sustainability.
• Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, cooling, and AC/DC power infrastructure.
• Experience reporting on tickets, SLAs, and operations metrics using a ticketing system.
• Ability to travel to data centers and construction sites across North America.

Nice to have

• Data center certification such as CDCMP.
• Experience aggregating data with Excel or MySQL and using tools such as GUTS, Grafana, Humio, Splunk, Qlik Sense, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of quality management, continuous improvement, ITIL, PRINCE2, project management, client relationship management, or staff management.
• Experience managing mid-sized or large data center environments with thousands of assets.
