Expert Application Engineer / Administrator (Kubernetes/Elasticsearch)

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain applications in production and non-production environments.
• Tune application performance and continuously improve service efficiency and quality.
• Support incident, change, release, and problem resolution activities.
• Write and validate application procedures, troubleshooting guides, and backup and restore plans.
• Automate recurring administration procedures and provide installation and technical support documentation.
• Maintain the technical knowledge base and report on application availability, performance, capacity, and usage.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of IT experience.
• At least 6 years in mid-sized or large IT infrastructure environments, including application deployment, support, and maintenance.
• At least 5 years of application administration experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with microservices, container orchestration, and container-based stacks.
• At least 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch, including Elasticsearch cluster deployment and administration.
• Experience with Microsoft or Linux server solutions, Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Rancher, Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey, shell or PowerShell scripting, and ITIL processes.
