TL;DR
Senior Specialist, Contracts (Defense): Administering, negotiating, and closing contracts for defense programs supporting U.S. Government departments, agencies, and DoD contractors with an accent on FAR/DFARS compliance, proposal preparation, and contractual performance. Focus on managing complex contract changes, advising stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations, and coordinating negotiations across customers, procurement, legal, and program teams.

Location: Onsite in Greenville, Texas, or Rockwall, Texas; U.S. citizenship required

What you will do

  • Administer, extend, negotiate, and close standard and nonstandard contracts for defense programs.
  • Prepare proposals, bids, contractual letters, terms and conditions, representations, and certifications.
  • Support audits, fact-finding activities, contract changes, equitable adjustments, and customer negotiations.
  • Interpret contract requirements, track contractual performance, and ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for contractual communications with customers, senior management, procurement, and program teams.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to contracts professionals and support project delegation and work-product review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and 4 years of related experience; 10 years may substitute for a degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience with defense programs, FAR/DFARS, and TINA.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and interpreting contractual requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation, management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts with minimal assistance and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with financial models and analyses.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
