Tech Lead (PHP/Node.js)

Location: Remote within Latin America only; working hours are 9am to 5pm EST.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a small team of 3–4 developers.
• Manage daily operations, sprint planning, prioritization, workflow, and task delegation.
• Collaborate with the CTO on roadmap planning, technical strategy, and team needs.
• Contribute to application development with an 80/20 focus on application development versus DevOps.
• Review code, implement features, and guide architectural decisions.
• Support AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, troubleshooting, and operational reliability.

Requirements

• Residence in Latin America is required.
• English proficiency at C1 or higher is required for complex technical conversations.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
• Experience managing small development teams or working as a working manager.
• Strong proficiency with PHP, Node.js, Vue 3, Angular, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, modern development workflows, DevOps practices, architectural decision-making, and technical problem-solving.
