Senior Full-Stack Software Developer (PHP/Laravel)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain custom software applications and features.
• Plan solutions for complex technical and business challenges, evaluating risks, alternatives, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead complex feature development across multiple application layers and coordinate with other developers when needed.
• Conduct code reviews covering architecture, performance, security, maintainability, and business requirements.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to align development decisions with company priorities and workflows.
• Evaluate AI-enabled development tools and provide technical guidance to other developers.

Requirements

• Remote work is listed for the United States, with Greenville, South Carolina, as the stated location.
• Degree or certificate in software development, web development, computer science, or a related technical discipline required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience required; 8+ years or comparable senior-level experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated full-stack experience and knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, performance, security, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, and AWS is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while taking ownership of systems and long-term technical outcomes.

Nice to have

• Linux server administration and Docker experience.
• Mobile or application development experience, including Capacitor.
• UI/UX design knowledge and attention to end-user experience.
• Experience with financial services, specialty finance, or a similar business environment.
