Nakisa develops privacy-first, AI-powered enterprise software for Human Resources, Financial Management, and Commercial Real Estate.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend services and frontend components.
• Design and optimize REST APIs, database schemas, and system architectures.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code using established patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and technical decisions.
• Own component performance, scalability, reliability, and related production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
• Ability or interest in working across Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and frontend technologies such as Vue, Angular, or React.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Comfort working in an Agile, test-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement requiring 1–2 days per week in the Montréal office; visa sponsorship and relocation are not available.

Nice to have

• Java 17+, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, AWS, Azure, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Webpack, Babel, Vuex, Pinia, Kafka, Airflow, Elasticsearch, Flink, D3, Plotly, or ECharts.
• Knowledge of HR or financial domain applications.
• French and English proficiency for collaboration across Quebec-based and global teams.
