AI Builder (Fullstack Software Engineer)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; in-office culture with the option for makers to work elsewhere on Wednesdays

Base salary: $110,000–$200,000 per year, depending on experience level, plus meaningful equity.

Gigi is building an agentic operating system for enterprise media buying, starting with an AI media manager for Amazon DSP.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end feature development from data models and backend services through agent logic and customer-facing interfaces.
• Build across Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, LangChain, TypeScript, Vue, Nuxt, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, pgvector, Redis, NATS, and AWS.
• Design the agent’s judgment, including autonomous actions, human escalation, risk scoring, confidence handling, and recommendation behavior.
• Build reliable agentic systems with tools, retrieval, memory, evaluations, guardrails, and human approval flows.
• Use AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor while remaining accountable for architecture, quality, and correctness.
• Work directly with media buyers to turn ambiguous customer problems into production software.

Requirements

• Track record of building and shipping production software used by real customers.
• Strong full stack engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, data modelling, interfaces, testing, debugging, and production operations.
• Comfort working across the stack with meaningful depth in at least one area.
• Experience using, or strong motivation to become highly effective with, AI coding tools.
• Strong judgment, ownership, speed, and ability to maintain architecture, correctness, and maintainability while iterating quickly.
• Ability to work in the Toronto office, with Wednesday flexibility for makers.

Nice to have

• Production experience with LLM evaluations, guardrails, tool use, retrieval, agent orchestration, cost, or latency optimization.
• Advertising or ecommerce experience.
• Experience with real-time data pipelines at meaningful volume or early-stage startup work.
• Experience operating systems where correctness, permissions, auditability, or customer trust mattered.
