What you will do
- Lead and directly manage engineers across full-stack development, data engineering, and business intelligence.
- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create individualized development plans.
- Provide technical direction for C#/.NET backend services, SQL data models, Vue 3 applications, and Power BI solutions.
- Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration, data quality, reliability, and BI semantic models.
- Guide architecture reviews, roadmap execution, agile delivery, dependency management, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Clinical Operations, and engineering leadership to translate clinical requirements into technical scope.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in engineering management or team leadership.
- Experience hiring engineers, conducting technical interviews, managing performance, and developing engineers at multiple levels.
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET and SQL, including code review and architectural trade-offs.
- Experience leading or partnering with data engineering teams and modern data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience with Power BI or a comparable BI platform and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
- Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or regulated industries; familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data standards.
Nice to have
- Exposure to dbt, Apache Airflow, or comparable orchestration tools.
- Experience building leveling frameworks, interview training, or onboarding programs.
