Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

Alkami provides a digital sales and service platform for U.S. banks and credit unions, combining onboarding, digital banking, data, and marketing solutions as a SaaS product.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable full-stack web applications, with approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend development.
• Design data pipelines that transform incoming data into Kafka streams and KeyLife Indicators.
• Contribute to architecture, code and design reviews, API-first development, reusable libraries, and modernization of legacy applications.
• Deploy and support cloud-native applications, configure environments, monitor system health, and improve production reliability.
• Perform debugging, UI and automated testing, performance optimization, and on-call incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, systems administration, customers, and vendors while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States for full-time employment; employment sponsorship is not available.
• At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java or Kotlin and proven full-stack development experience.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, Vue, React, Angular, Tailwind CSS, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Kafka, event-driven architecture, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience creating unit, UI automation, and integration tests; ability to participate in an on-call rotation and communicate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS products in the technology or financial industries.
• Experience with Maven, OpenTelemetry, Kotlin, Vue, AWS, and Kubernetes.
