Software Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota, US. Onsite role with occasional travel and access to a production environment.

What you will do

• Research, write, develop, test, and evaluate software from concept through production.
• Determine the purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhanced software.
• Support software deployment and coordinate engineering efforts with internal teams and external customers.
• Create and maintain design and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot customer problems, provide engineering assistance, and support software-related training.
• Contribute to quoting activities, quality management, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• US Persons are required for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience; entry-level and early-career candidates with 0–2 years of experience are eligible.
• Training in one or more of C, C++, Java, or Python is required.
• Ability to apply software design theory and methodology, analyze problems, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and self-management skills.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript, Vue, MVC, or Go.
• Experience using UNIX/Linux operating systems.
