Software Developer-TS/SCI

Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area, United States. Hybrid work is available, but on-site support is required based on customer access, system classification, and mission needs. Travel may be required for mission workshops, technical working sessions, or program activities.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, debug, deploy, and sustain new software and enhancements to existing mission applications.
• Translate user, business, performance, interface, quality, and security requirements into maintainable designs and tested components.
• Collaborate with users, engineers, testers, security teams, and stakeholders to diagnose issues, resolve defects, and prioritize improvements.
• Build secure integrations with APIs, databases, enterprise services, identity services, and standard software packages.
• Implement secure coding, security lockdowns, automated testing, logging, quality checks, and vulnerability remediation.
• Automate deployments, updates, patching, and rollback procedures using CI/CD and configuration-management technologies.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in software development, application engineering, systems integration, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, with no exceptions.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access is required.
• Advanced proficiency with object-oriented or modern application development using Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with software design, debugging, unit and integration testing, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, configuration management, and secure software delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Federal, law enforcement, intelligence, cybersecurity, or other mission-critical environments.
• Experience with cloud-native or hybrid development in AWS, Azure, or comparable regulated environments.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Current TS/SCI clearance and experience working in secure on-site environments.
