General Counsel (SaaS)

Salary: $280,000–$400,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and lead legal strategy, risk management, and compliance across all operating jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex B2B SaaS agreements, master service agreements, data processing agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Advise product, engineering, and security teams on data protection, intellectual property, and sensitive-data risks.
• Partner cross-functionally to provide practical legal guidance, improve processes, and support corporate objectives.
• Develop policies and procedures that strengthen regulatory and business compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate outside counsel as needed.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and good standing with the candidate’s state bar association.
• 10–15+ years of relevant legal experience combining large law firm and in-house work at life sciences or technology companies.
• Senior leadership experience and a record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and managing complex legal matters.
• Experience with complex, high-value enterprise contracts is required.
• Extensive knowledge of software and SaaS, plus a deep understanding of pharmaceutical or life sciences legal and regulatory environments.
• Experience counseling technology product teams building B2B products and services, with strong client counseling and attention-to-detail skills.
