Senior Program Manager II - Flatellite

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's headquarters. This is an onsite production role. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. The role is subject to U.S. ITAR export-control eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $134,300–$201,350 USD per year. Total compensation, including equity: $166,800–$258,625 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead high-volume satellite programs from concept and qualification through full-rate production and flight.
• Own program rate, yield, unit cost, technical roadmaps, and strategic production decisions.
• Manage multiple programs and make architectural and design-for-manufacturing trade-offs with Chief Engineers.
• Coordinate manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test teams while resolving production blockers.
• Manage strategic suppliers and subcontracts to protect schedule, margin, and production readiness.
• Act as the primary contact for commercial constellation operators and support proposals with Business Development and Strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
• 8+ years of program management experience and demonstrated ownership of technical programs, products, or teams through delivery.
• Experience moving hardware and software from prototype to high-rate production with measurable yield, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Knowledge of takt time, line-of-balance, design-for-manufacturing, and learning-curve economics.
• Experience identifying and mitigating tooling, supply-chain, and yield risks.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; ITAR eligibility is required for U.S. office roles.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling satellite, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex hardware production.
• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes into reliable full-rate production and reducing unit cost at scale.
• Master’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Experience with systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, and requirements integrity.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ERP/MRP systems.
