Structural Engineer, Design (Rail/Metro) - Group (Rail/Metro Structural Engineering): Reviewing and coordinating structural designs for railway and metro infrastructure in Saudi Arabia with an accent on design assurance, multidisciplinary integration, and compliance with international codes and local authority standards. Focus on identifying design risks, resolving interface issues, and overseeing consultants across stations, viaducts, bridges, depots, and retaining walls.

What you will do
- Provide structural engineering oversight across multiple railway and metro projects.
- Review consultant design submissions for completeness, accuracy, coordination, and compliance.
- Monitor the design development of stations, viaducts, bridges, depots, retaining walls, and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate structural works with civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, systems, and construction disciplines.
- Support design assurance, technical governance, design reviews, workshops, value engineering, and technical decision-making.
- Identify design risks, technical gaps, and interface issues, and prepare technical comments, reports, memoranda, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- At least 15 years of relevant structural engineering design and design review experience.
- Extensive railway and/or metro project experience is mandatory.
- Gulf and/or Saudi Arabia experience is required.
- Strong structural design, engineering coordination, technical review, communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with client, PMC, consultant oversight, authority approvals, or major transportation infrastructure environments.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Professional registration, chartership, or equivalent accreditation.
- Experience supporting client organizations or major government transport entities.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabia infrastructure delivery processes.
