TL;DR
Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Offshore) (Oil & Gas/Electrical Power Systems): Leading electrical design for substations, transmission and distribution systems across conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering projects with an accent on power systems studies, equipment specifications, and design integrity. Focus on leading multidisciplinary electrical teams, checking ETAP analyses and protection coordination, and delivering large-scale offshore and infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget.

Location: Corniche, Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia

What you will do

  • Lead a team of 10–20 electrical engineers and designers.
  • Develop discipline work plans and prepare work-hour estimates.
  • Perform and check electrical systems studies, including ETAP studies and power systems analyses.
  • Develop electrical equipment sizes and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and clients.
  • Maintain electrical design integrity and ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery of assigned work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Extensive experience designing substations, transmission systems, and distribution systems.
  • Experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering for medium- to large-scale projects.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical design and construction practices and procedures.
  • Wide knowledge of electrical power systems, protection philosophy, protection device coordination, and IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, and ANSI/NEMA standards.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and procedures.
