Systems Engineer, Electronic Warfare & Spectrum Monitoring - Canada

Location: Kanata, Ottawa, or Toronto, Canada. The role includes domestic and international travel of up to 50% and requires Canadian citizenship or residency with the ability to obtain the appropriate government security clearance.

What you will do

• Lead technical activities for electronic warfare, spectrum monitoring, and ISR system opportunities throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
• Work with Canadian Armed Forces and government customers to understand operational requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Translate CONOPS and mission requirements into system architectures, technical proposals, and solution designs.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical workshops, proof-of-concept activities, and field evaluations.
• Support system integration, testing, deployment, acceptance, lifecycle sustainment, training, and post-deployment support.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams on opportunities, proposals, customer feedback, and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience with electronic warfare, SIGINT, spectrum monitoring, COMINT, RF systems, or related defense technologies.
• Experience designing, integrating, testing, or deploying complex mission systems.
• Strong knowledge of RF principles, spectrum operations, antenna systems, and signal processing.
• Experience translating customer requirements into system architectures and delivering demonstrations, training, presentations, and requirements discussions.
• Canadian citizenship or residency with eligibility to obtain the required government security clearance is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Prior military or government experience in communications, electronic warfare, SIGINT, intelligence, or spectrum management organizations.
• Familiarity with Canadian government, defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure organizations.
