Principal Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Greece

Salary: €73,300–€115,900 EUR per year base salary; no variable compensation.

What you will do

• Build and improve frameworks, reusable components, and operational guidelines covering the software development lifecycle.
• Improve CI infrastructure reliability and efficiency and develop systems that produce releasable software artifacts.
• Enable ephemeral developer environments and create tooling for product deployment and release.
• Define and enforce release quality gates, testing strategies, and delivery standards.
• Review code, improve performance, document architecture, and communicate technical decisions across engineering and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and promote code quality and effective engineering practices.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of build, packaging, testing, release, and software quality strategies.
• Deep experience with one or more of Python, Go, Bash, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, Git, cloud infrastructure, and developer platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, configuration management tools, and major cloud providers.
• Ability to design scalable systems and improve developer productivity through tooling and automation.
• Hands-on AI experience, including integrating LLM APIs into production workflows and applying prompt engineering to domain-specific problems.
