Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Voyage Optimisation)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; hybrid model with 3+ days per week at the Copenhagen headquarters

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, integrations, and customer-facing frontend features for voyage planning and monitoring.
• Build across Go, Python, React, Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Contribute to Propel, an agentic platform for voyage planning that supports vessel operators in navigating safely and cost-effectively.
• Partner with product and design to scope, prioritize, and shape solutions based on customer and business outcomes.
• Own problems from initial report through delivery, customer validation, and iteration.
• Improve engineering standards through code review, testing, observability, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and running production systems across the full stack.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, data modeling, testing, debugging, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience taking features or products from idea through production, measuring customer usage, and iterating based on results.
• Ability to independently drive ambiguous problems to resolution and take ownership of outcomes.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup with at least 3 days per week at the Copenhagen headquarters.
