Senior Application Engineer (Oracle Database Engineering)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database applications, procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and database APIs.
• Provide technical leadership for database architecture, data modelling, normalization, and solution design.
• Improve database performance through query tuning, index optimization, execution plan analysis, capacity planning, and health monitoring.
• Lead ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and application teams to deliver scalable database solutions.
• Apply AI-powered tools and automation to improve development productivity, performance analysis, issue resolution, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale database solutions.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, MSSQL, T-SQL, and database engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and core technologies.
• Extensive experience in agile, cross-functional, and continuous delivery teams.
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into realistic designs.
• Experience establishing database standards, governance controls, secure coding practices, and data protection policies.
