Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Rotherham (Dearne Valley), United Kingdom; on-site work in warehousing complexes

Salary: £21.32 per hour basic pay, plus 15% nights premium and bonus scheme. Full-year OTE is approximately £54,000 including basic pay, premium, and bonus, with overtime opportunities.

What you will do

• Fault-find and diagnose PLC-controlled warehouse equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots.
• Analyse and resolve electrical and mechanical faults and complete repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and assist with departmental risk assessments.
• Work with ASI and Profibus systems.
• Work at heights of up to 20 metres following appropriate training.

Requirements

• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a similar Maintenance Engineer or Technician role.
• Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing working hours, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and PC literacy.
• Availability for a 42-hour shift rotation covering days, nights, and weekends.
