Senior Product Manager (Cross-Border Compliance)

Location: Remote within Canada or the United States; meaningful Eastern Time overlap required.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end compliance flow from merchant catalog data to cleared shipments.
• Define the strategy for what hirify.global should build, buy, or source through partners.
• Establish data quality metrics for product classification, declared values, country of origin, and related compliance information.
• Build validation, gating, escalation, and merchant self-service workflows that prevent non-compliant shipments.
• Define how compliance appears in the merchant portal and demonstrate its commercial value.
• Evaluate compliance partners and own product-side integration relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of a complex, data-heavy domain.
• Ability to map complex systems and data flows, identify degradation points, and use evidence to guide decisions.
• Experience making and owning build-versus-buy decisions.
• Strong written communication skills for strategy documents, decision records, and specifications.
• Experience in cross-border commerce, logistics, fulfillment, supply chain, or a closely adjacent field.
• Strategic familiarity with classification, declared value, duties, destination requirements, and compliance-related product decisions.
